Meet at the Park – 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg Cost: Adults: $6 Seniors: (62+ older) $3
Birthplace, ranch house, registered Hereford cattle, family cemetery-Lyndon Johnson’s heritage is readily apparent on a ranger-led bus tour of the LBJ Ranch. Your visit includes a walk-through of LBJ's birth home, reconstructed by President Johnson and later donated to the National Park Service. The ranch house that became the Texas White House and which remains the home of Mrs. Lyndon Johnson is the focal point of the ranch tour. A working ranch, the LBJ Ranch continues to produce registered Hereford cattle, descendants of the prize-winning LBJ herd. The family cemetery where Johnson is buried is the picture of the serenity which continually drew him back to his beloved Hill Country. His strong attachment to the region led him to continually showcase the land and people of the Texas Hill Country as evidence for what was right in America. National Park Service buses are air-conditioned and fully accessible.
