Huihan Liu, a Master Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America
and an artist member of California Art Club, was trained in the Guangzhou
Academy of Fine Art in 1972 with a BA and an MFA from the Academy of
Art College in 1989. For more than twenty years his professional career
was as an illustrator, teacher and painter. He has been awarded by the
San Francisco Society of Illustrators, Reader's Digest Association in
New York, and has received the Grumbacher Gold Medallion Award, Winson
& Newton Painting Award, and Best of Show Award in the Oil Painters
of America Regional Exhibitions. He was featured in Art of the West
magazine in May, 1997 and in The Artist's magazine in April 1999. Huihan
Liu served as Juror of Awards for the Ninth Annual National Juried Exhibition
of the Oil Painters of America in 2000.
