2009 Eastern Regional Exhibition

OPA will hold its 2009 Eastern Regional Exhibition at the Corse Gallery & Atelier in Jacksonville, Florida, November 20-December 23.   The exhibition will feature over 150 paintings from many of the finest oil painters located in the eastern half of the United States.

 
Collectors and art enthusiasts are invited to attend the opening reception on Friday evening, November 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The awards presentation will take place at approximately 7:00 p.m. RSVP is not required, but certainly appreciated. In addition, there will be a two day preview period for serious collectors on November 18th and 19th.  Please note, there will be no presales prior to the opening reception.


On Saturday morning, November 21, Master Signature member C.W. Mundy will provide a 3-hour painting demonstration at the gallery.  Mr. Mundy is known for his rich impressionistic paintings and is equally adept at painting landscapes, as he is still life’s and figurative work.  This prolific painter has been cited innumerable times in books and magazines, and can be found in some of the country’s most famous museums and private collections.

On Saturday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. join Master Signature member and current president of OPA Neil Patterson for a lively and informative Q & A session.  With over forty years experience as a professional artist, instructor, and former gallery owner,  coupled with his volunteer service with OPA,  Neil is uniquely qualified to speak on a number of  art related issues. This event will be held at the gallery and is open to the public.  Admission is free.  Registration is not required.
