Membership
Join your peers and become a part of one of the
leading organizations that supports and promotes traditional, representational art.
All artists working in the oil medium are encouraged to apply. Membership in OPA is organized into four main categories:
The $60 Associate Membership is open to all artists who work with the oil medium.
Applicants for membership can submit materials for review and pay their dues
on-line or, submit a membership application, dues, and one of the following by
mail: two digital images, two slides, or two photos. Accepted artists then
become eligible to jury for all regional shows in their region, as well as the OPA National Show.
Renewing Members can
rejoin on line or by mail.
The $60 Signature Membership is conferred by the Board upon individuals who
consistently demonstrate high quality work and have participated in three
National OPA Shows, or two National OPA Shows and three OPA Regional Shows. In order to qualify, Regional Shows must have been
within the last five years. Deadline for submission for Signature member status is August 1.
| Master Signature Membership |

Master Signature Membership is conferred by the OPA Board of Directors,
according to the exceptional merit of work and accomplishment in the field of
art. With rare exception, one must already be a Signature Member to apply for
Master Signature Membership. Deadline for submission for Master Signature member status is September 1.
Master Signature Requirements/Application
Gallery Membership is open to all Galleries wishing to be listed in OPA's Gallery Locator. This service makes it easy for artists, collectors and other Galleries to locate your gallery and the artists that you represent. The Gallery Locator service is open to any gallery that represents at least one current OPA member. All artists listed in the Gallery Locator must be current members of OPA.

The $60 Supporting Membership is for individuals/organizations that are not
artists, but are interested in supporting the arts. Individuals who have not
obtained the Associate or Signature status through the current membership
process will not be eligible to jury for OPA exhibitions.
Additional Contributions - As with many 501(c) 3 organizations, OPA relies on the
generosity of those who love the arts to provide additional assistance. The
following categories are for both supporters and member artists who would like
to provide a tax deductible contribution to OPA in addition to dues:
- Angel
Donation of $40 to $59
- Friend
Donation of $60 to $499

- Patron
Donation of $500 to $2,499
- Benefactor
Donation of $2,500 or more

Additional contributions can be made when paying your membership dues.
