Oil Painters of America Presents The 2020 Western Regional Juried Exhibition Of Traditional Oils
OPA's 2020 Western Regional Exhibition is being hosted by Montgomery-Lee Fine Art, located in popular Park City, Utah, September 4 through October 2, 2020. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, September 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the awards presentation at 8:00 p.m. The Park City area has over 400 miles of scenic hiking and biking trails, including the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail offering 28 miles open to foot traffic as well as mountain bikers and equestrians. Peaceful driving, such as along Guardsman Pass, offers tranquil vistas of wild flowers and wildlife. Downtown Park City is steeped with history and Main Street is acclaimed to house a number of ghosts in many of the 64 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. The Park City Museum offers a pictorial history of silver mining in the area. From fly fishing to fine dining, Park City offers a wide variety of activities and entertainment to please visitors.
Our goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.
The total awards will be approximately $11,500, including a $4,000 Best In Show.
The awarding juror will be OPA Signature member David Dibble.
