Todd A. Channer, OPA Signature Member, is a Midwest Oil Painter with a BFA degree. Todd’s professional career spanned several decades in the Civil and Structural Engineering field where he worked on major airport, civil and structural engineering projects worldwide. Todd is past President of the Cincinnati Art Club (founded in 1890), has organized and held two Cincinnati, Ohio OPA Paint Outs and is a frequent participant in the OPA Salon, Regional and National exhibitions. Todd’s medium of choice is oils painted on canvas, employing a combination of 19th century techniques of grisaille and imprimatura to which are added layers of semi-opaque paint and transparent glazes.
Todd’s work has been exhibited in major museums and galleries across the country and is held in public and private collections.
