Betania Bright

I am a Brazilian artist. In 2010 I graduated as an Arts teacher in Brazil. I began to study oil on canvas in 2005 in a private studio in Socorro, my Brazilian hometown. Since 2006 I am a self-taught painter and developed my own technique of pictorial realism. From 2008 to 2010 I studied under the tutelage of Italian painter Romano di Martino.

During the same period until 2013, I painted more than 20 religious canvases for the Catholic Church of Socorro (Brazil). From 2011 to 2016 I also worked as an arts teacher in kindergarten, elementary school, and high school (private and public institutions) and as private painting teacher. After my immigration period in 2016/17, I decided to resume my professional activities in Florida. I became a member of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association and Oil Painters of America. I have been exposing my work in exhibitions in Florida, I was present in Tioga Art’s Fair in 2018 and I was also a jury in Alachua County Library Teen Art Show. I am currently working as a freelance artist.
