Matt Linz

Matt Linz developed a passion for art at a young age while growing up in a small Minnesota town. His parents encouraged his artistic aspirations, and at the age of four enrolled him in art classes for children at the University of Minnesota.
 
For Matt, nothing takes the place of painting from direct observation. “I never tire of working from life,” explains the artist. “The knowledge and understanding gained from a life-painting session is invaluable to my development as an artist.”
 
Matt received his BFA from the College of Visual Arts located in St. Paul Minnesota. He has exhibited in major shows including the Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.
