Rich Alexander OPA

Rich Alexander grew up an hour north of New York City and as a youngster marveled at his Mother’s ability to draw the human figure.  Those moments together, creating art, left an indelible impression. Rich attended SUNY Canton for their well-known certificate drafting program. After ten years working various types of drafting jobs Rich joined the New York City Fire Department reaching the rank of Lieutenant during his 21-year career.

Rich has attended oil painting classes at The Ridgewood Art Institute in Northern, NJ for many years. Rich has enjoyed restoring old houses and old cars as a hobby during his free time. However he mostly oil paints full time from his home studio now. Rich has won many national, international and local awards for his paintings in oil. Some of Rich’s oil paintings are part of the world renowned Seven Bridges Foundation’s permanent collection in Greenwich, CT. He has shown in numerous museums and is represented by galleries around the country.

Rich resides in Mt. Kisco, NY with his wife Diane, together they have three grown children.
