Description - This workshop will focus on the horse as subject, incorporating information gathered from life as well as photo reference. Students will learn: approaches to working from live animals, basic anatomy and structure, sketching techniques, painting techniques, color observation and mixing, taking photo reference, working from photo reference, and putting it all together. We will be working outdoors from equine models and indoors in Bluebird Studio's large studio space. Laurie is an oil painter and will be working in oils but students are welcome to work in oil, acrylic, pastel, or gouache. Intermediate to advanced.
