Description - The workshop will begin with a demo and discussion on how to mix darker skin tones and what colors to use. Students will be given a photo reference provided by Nicole Troup to use for their painting. The beginning stages of the portrait will focus on a solid foundation by drawing in the proportions, blocking in light and dark shapes, concentrating on the correct colors, value relationships and blending techniques.
