Description - Painting the Inspired Portrait and Figure in Oil - Designed to wake your aesthetic voice, the focus of this workshop is to freely capture the essence of what inspires you most while painting the portrait and clothed figure. Starting with a strong value based composition, learn to define and simplify a visually interesting narrative to its most essential elements; then, explore ways to build on that concept with color, edges and texture. There will be demonstrations of varying lengths shared with painting time and individualized instruction, quick studies, and brief visual presentations. Good drawing skills and a strong grasp of painting fundamentals are recommended. www.johannaharmon.com
