Description - Join me for a week of plein air painting in the Perigord Vert Region of France and stay in a real castle! There are only a few rooms left in Castle Marouatte on 270 acres, which used to be a guard post in Roman times, so sign up now for this trip of a lifetime. The entire castle is decorated with beautiful art and antiques, and included in the price are three meals a day, your room in the castle, the workshop, and transportation to all painting sites and to and from the train station in Angouleme. Painting locations include the castle, Bourdeilles Village, Brantome, Grotte de Villars, St. Jean de Cole Village, Riberac Market, Perigueux City. Paint, lunch, explore museums and cathedrals, then relax in the heated pool at the castle before the delicious dinner prepared by the castle's private chef every evening.
