Description - If you are a painter, but have never tried painting outdoors, this would be a great place to start! If you are already a plein air painter, this class will help you mix up your routines and gain some fresh color approaches. Both Saturdays are tentatively at the studio with its flower garden, pond, and local mountain views. However, if the weather is good, we may paint at a nearby scene on one or both afternoons! (ideas welcome) 1. Learn strategies to make the best use of your time in the field 2. Practice color techniques in the studio, so you can premix harmonious colors 3. Learn painting strategies that work with fewer tubes of paint 4. Improve your success rate with on-site paintings 5. Connect with fellow artists= future plein air painting buddies! ****This class is not designed for beginner painters. You should have some experience with color mixing and paint application prior to this workshop. I'll be teaching in oils, but oil or acrylic paint is acceptable.
