Description - Discover new approaches and techniques for painting wildlife in this fun and intensive workshop, “Predator and Prey”! Through a combination of painting demonstrations, fun and informative lectures, and one-on-one instruction, Suzanne will guide you through the process of creating a wildlife work from concept to completion of the coyote and the jackrabbit. In this 3 day wildlife painting workshop, the use of the same color palette for both pieces will be used. Topics such as understanding form, design, and color to create drama as well as introducing painting techniques that will enhance your work, are just some of the vital components of wildlife painting that will be covered in this workshop. Open to beginners through professional artists and all folks in between who want to improve and hone their wildlife painting skills. Students should bring the reference provided by Suzanne, preferably on an iPad or tablet , the items on the material list, and the expectation to have fun and learn more about painting wildlife. As with all Suzanne Barrett Justis’s workshops, the two painting demos she completes in the workshop will be given to two lucky attendees Both paintings (coyote & the jackrabbit) will be 9x12 oil on panel. The cost for this 3 Day Wildlife Painting Workshop is $390.
