Description - In this 4 day workshop students will work on several landscape studies from photos and watch daily demonstrations. The demonstrations will show how to approach various types of landscapes and lighting scenarios. Students will develop a strong understanding of how light behaves and the way light describes form in a landscape. This understanding will be crucial in making a painting appear 3 dimensional. Additionally, students will also learn how to work around the limitations of photography and create landscape paintings that appear naturalistic. This is an important skill landscape painters must develop when working in the studio. Students will receive individual attention as they work so the instructor can help address the specific goals each individual has for their work. Therefore this workshop will benefit artists of all levels.
