Lon Brauer
With the intention of pursuing a life as a figurative painter after earning his BFA from Washington University in St. Louis in 1980, Lon found a position with a major photography studio and ultimately turned that into a career instead. As the industry shifted with the advent of digital photography, Lon saw the opportunity to rekindle his love of painting and in 1998 he began to seriously transition his career to the fine arts. He currently lives and works in Granite City, IL balancing his time between studio and plein air events.
