Warren Chang OPAM
Born and bred in Monterey, California (USA) Warren Chang is an acclaimed realist artist who is recognized for his realist paintings of biographical interiors and field-workers of the Monterey, California area. Influenced by Masters such as 17th century artist Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675), and 19th century artists Jean Francois Millet (1814-1875), among others, Warren Chang creates subtle narratives that celebrate the human spirit. His work is in the permanent collections of the Monterey Museum and the Hilbert Museum of Art in Orange, California. He was honored with solo exhibitions of his art at the Monterey Museum of Art, the Butler Institute of American Art in Ohio, and most recently a solo exhibition at the New Museum Los Gatos in 2019. He is the subject of a 112 monograph book on his paintings published by Flesk Publications in 2012. He is a Signature member of the California Art Club and a Master Signature member of the Oil Painters of America.
