Signature Member Application SIGNATURE MEMBER APPLICATION 2025 The OPA Signature Membership Advisory Committee will review applications for Signature status. Applications may be submitted between June 1 and October 15 of each year. The Board of Directors will act upon the applications at its December Board Meeting. An Associate member may apply for Signature Member status by meeting the criteria of either of the following requirements: Option 1: Automatic Signature Status Within an eight year period a member must have exhibited in either: four national OPA shows; OR three national OPA shows and three regional and/or salon shows. (Regional and salon shows must be within the last five years.) If these requirements are met Signature Member status will be conferred with no further evaluation. However, qualified members must still submit an application between June 1 and October 15, for approval at the December board meeting. Option 2: Committee Review Over an indefinite period of time members must have exhibited in either: three national OPA shows; OR two national OPA shows and three OPA regional or salon shows. (Regional and salon shows must be within the last five years.) A 2 page biography that includes… Your education, formal or self-taught, any awards received, short list of published articles, and any galleries with which you are associated with. (Please note, judging places greater emphasis on the artist’s body of work than on his/her credentials.) Please remember that if you are granted Signature status you must continue to be an active, dues paying member in order for OPA to recognize you as a Signature Member. Also, if you do not pay your dues by January 31, of any given year, you will not be listed as a Signature Member in the annual catalog. If a Signature Member has not paid his/her dues for three or more years, he/she will be required to resubmit for Signature Member status.
