Teresa Boynton

Teresa Boynton is an occupational therapist with over 30 years’ experience in healthcare. She worked in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic for 15 years, and then became the Ergonomics and Injury Prevention Specialist for a hospital system. She has an extensive background in preventing and treating work-related injuries and illnesses. Her husband, Bruce, is an OPA member. In May 2019, Teresa and Bruce attended a wonderful plein air workshop in France (workshopsinfrance.com). During the course of the workshop, she was able to assist an artist who was having difficulty painting due to neck, shoulder and upper back pain. Subsequently, she was asked to write blog posts for OPA. Teresa believes awareness of posture and positioning and its impact on overall well-being is important, and that use of gentle stretching and conservative modalities can be very beneficial.
