OPA Online Showcase Fall 2022

Welcome to the Oil Painters of America’s Online Showcase.

An online fine art exhibition for OPA members.

The OPA Online Showcase is a rolling exhibition, offered three times per year, allowing OPA members to easily enter multiple paintings for only $15 per entry.

The Fall 2022 Online Showcase is accepting entries from September 1 – November 15 and boasts awards of $3,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $500 for third place for OPA Associate, Signature and Student Members.  10 honorable mention awards will also be awarded for the Associate division.

The Summer 2022 Online Showcase is accepting entries from June 1 – August 15 and boasts awards of $3,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $500 for third place for OPA Associate and Student Members only.  10 honorable mention awards will also be awarded.

2022 Western Regional Exhibition

Oil Painters of America’s 2022 Western Regional Exhibition

OPA’s 2022 Western Regional Exhibition is being hosted by Southwest Gallery, located in Dallas, Texas, September 10 through October 1, 2022.  The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, September 10, from 1:00 to 5:00pm with the awards presentation at 4:00pm.

The bustling city of Dallas offers something of interest for almost everyone.  Outdoor enthusiasts may walk the 66 acre Dallas Arboretum & botanical Gardens, on the shores of White Rock Lake or visit one of the many parks throughout the city.  The Dallas World Aquarium houses many endangered animals and works in cooperation with zoos throughout the world in breeding programs.  Also of interest might be the Frontier Flight Museum with aviation artifacts and vehicles that focus on the history of aviation and space flight.  Or, you might want to visit the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which depicts the life of U.S. President John F. Kennedy through films, photos and other memorabilia.

 

2022 Eastern Regional Exhibition

Oil Painters of America’s 2022 Eastern Regional Exhibition

OPA’s 2022 Eastern Regional Exhibition is being hosted by James R. Ross Fine Art, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 6 through 28, 2022. The Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, October 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the awards presentation in person at 7:00 p.m.

The bustling city of Indianapolis offers something of interest for almost everyone. For those who want to be outdoors, visit
the Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Monument, a striking limestone memorial commemorating those who fought in the Civil War that offers an
impressive sound and light show nightly. Or go to the White River Botanical Garden with plantings, sculptures and water features
throughout the gardens. For those who want to stay indoors, consider the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum with racing, antique
and classic cars or the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art. Indianapolis has lots to offer
