Starting with crayons on the wall, I’ve been an artist my entire life. My favorite medium is the medium in my hand at the moment. Art fulfills my passion to express myself visually. I paint everything. My favorite subjects are the ones right in front of me, in life and in my photos. If these images stir my heart and imagination, they become paintings or sculptures to be passed down for generations. My greatest desire is to capture this glorious life, so full of quiet beautiful moments, and transform them into lasting visual-words of emotion universally reaching the heart.
My work has been exhibited in many galleries, museums, national and international exhibitions winning numerous awards and featured in articles, art books, as illustrations for novels and on covers of national art magazines.
I love teaching and have been teaching artists locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, all over the world since 1975. With the internet, now artists have a choice…. my classes and workshops can be in-person or easily they can reach the world through my online Zoom Classes and many teaching videos. Through the years, I have mentored many artists, one-on-one, helping them find their strengths and reach new levels in their art. This year, 2023, Mastrius has invited me to be an on-line international Mentor for small groups of artists to help each reach greater success in his/her paintings and his/her goals.
Helping artists learn the language of color and brush strokes has been a thrill for me ….. for decades
I am very blessed to be able to see our world through the eyes of an artist and pass it on.
